We started our blog yesterday and decided to gather to celebrate it with dinner, what more than our all girls’ favourite, SUBWAY! I coincidently got two vouchers of “Buy One, Free One” from The Star newspaper on the 13th November to commemorate their 50th branch, that’s a perfect deal at this kind of economy situation. The more we save, more we can feast on other food, nyek nyek nyek!
“H” was so thirsty and hungry, he needs a really almost freeze drink to combat with the crazy heat. My stomach was growling while waiting for him to reach, “Grrr……!” and I can’t hold it and took a few small bites with mum’s cooking. Hehe!
Off we went as soon as “H” got himself ready after work to IOI Mall, where we’re supposed to meet Fiona and her fiancée, “KC”. We can’t hold our hunger and went ordered our meal.
Interior of Subway
I like the fact that Subway made it fun and allow us to create our own sandwich. Bread is baked at every restaurant daily and varieties of breads are offered. Follow the simple steps when you order!
Step 1: Choose Your Favourite Bread. Step 2: Choose Your Mains and Condiments. Step 3: Choose Your Sauces. Step 4: Have A Subway Meal – you can opt to add Chips or Cookies and Drinks.
This Malay boy waiter was so funny. I asked his permission if I could take the picture of the premise and he walked out from the cashier counter towards me, thinking I was asking him to take a photo of me.
“H” ordered the Honey Oat bread with Chicken Teriyaki that goes with lettuce, onions, tomatoes and chilli, topping it with Mayonnaise and mustard sauce. I got the Honey Oat bread with Seafood and Crab, includes lettuce, tomatoes, chilli, topping with Mayonnaise and mustard sauce. We ordered a large soft drink to share with and all these costs us only RM 14.30!
All these just for RM 14.30!

Fiona and “KC” came slightly 10 minutes later. “KC” ordered the Italian BMT that comes with Pepperoni, Salami & Turkey Ham. Fiona ordered Subway Melt that includes Turkey Breast, Turkey Ham & Breakfast strips and had a nice time finishing it. Their meal came up to RM 26.80 and Fiona suspect they did some wrong calculation.

The boys basically don’t really fancy Subway. “KC” questioned why it costs so expensive for a sandwich like this and when there isn’t much meat in it. I know “H” doesn’t really fancy Subway either, but for the sake of us, he had to deal with the situation, hehe!

Meanwhile, we girls enjoyed it! I know most of my girlfriends enjoy Subway. We went for some window shop at IOI Mall after dinner and left at about 10.40pm to adjourn to our next venue, Restoran Seri Melur Jaya at Bandar Puteri for yam cha session.
Fiona & “KC” ordered Rhawa Thosai to share and I ordered “Roti Jala” since I saw they put up a banner. It’s rare to see Mamak Restaurant offers Roti Jala and we asked the waiter if it is available at this kind of hour, 11pm to be exact. When the waiter replied, “Ya, ada.”, I ordered without hesitating since my tummy is still quite full from our first bite meal.
Fiona’s Rhawa Thosai came first, and she liked it cause it tasted like, what else than Rhawa Thosai. My “Roti Jala” came later and I was surprised to see the Roti was wrapped with minced chicken in it. Well, at least they put a little more effort rather than the same old boring kosong “Roti Jala”. I suspect it would costs a lil more than RM 5 for the Roti Jala.

When it’s about time to leave, we walked out to the cashier. I saw the Roti Jala banner again and read it out loud with excitement just to tease my friends, and the waiter walked past me so anxiously thinking that I was scolding or complaining it was expensive and asked “Apa?”. The entire Restaurant’s staffs were looking at me. Haha! Sorry, neh! I was just fooling around. Roti Jala's price at RM 2.80 isn't too expensive.
Yea, that’s a great way to end our boring day on 24 November 2010.
